This is my first day here and I wanted to take a few moments to say 'Hi' to my co-writers and possible future friends...
It's always uncomfortable telling 'my story' but here goes.
About 10 years ago I wrote my first hard-cover booklet and did quite well selling it. Since then, I've travelled across the U.S. and Canada and have decided that writing travel and history-related material intrigues me the most. I love visiting and photographing new places and historic sites and, of course, the scenery.
I'm a second-career person, having spent my first 23 years as a secretary. At 35 years of age, I went to college and acquired my journalism diploma. With honors, which surprised me. I also won 2 awards while I was there and later, the Heritage Award for a major piece I wrote and photographed for the community newspaper where I was a reporter at the time.
With retirement looming, I want to really focus on writing ebooks on themes that interest me and, I hope, interest readers so I'm hoping to link into that market for maximum results.
I'm still in the early stages of marketing my site.
You can view my current offerings on my web site. There, you can also view The Sundowner, a travel guide where I will be describing in words and pictures some of the trips I've taken. I will be including other destination suggestions, designed mainly for the motorist since that's my favorite form of travel.
I hope you will visit my site and find something of interest.
Thanks for visiting with me and listening to 'my story'. )

Thanks, ebook architect. Yes, it has been an interesting life, often more exciting than I had anticipated. A friend of mine (we were sweethearts 35 years ago) is still at the job where I met him. How boring is that?
Marketing my site is proving to be much more difficult than the 'books' show, but persistence is the key, I think.
