This message only pertains to a handful of offenders, as the vast majority of members are extremely valuable contributors to our community.I am sorry to post a stern message, but today it got to the point that I feel I have no alternative because of a few people who insist on misusing this board.
I know the majority of members provide honorable, valuable, and helpful insights. You are the stars that make this board work.
But I also have a message to be clearly understood by the few offenders
Today, I have just deleted some posts from this board, and banned a few members. I am sorry I had to do this but I am deadly serious about enforcing our rules and a few basic standards of ethics.
- No affiliate or referral links. Yoir post will be deleted, and you will be banned.
- No impersonating somebody else, or 2-step spam (you know who you are). Yoir post will be deleted, and you will be banned.
- If you are using an pirated version of anybody's software (whether Answers 2000 Limited's Activ E-Book Compiler or somebody else's) software. Don't bother asking here why it doesn't work. Your post will be deleted, and you will be banned
- All the rules will be enforced - click Register if you need to refer to them. Break the rules, and your post will be deleted, and you will be banned.
If you are banned, you can still read the board, but you can NOT post. If you attempt to re-register under another user name after being banned, I can see it in a heartbeat. and will re-ban you, and get your ISP to terminate your Internet connection. Do not tempt me - offenders this is your last warning.
Once again apologies to the overwhelming majority of members, who as I say are valued contributors and friends. In fact, I would like to thank several members for helping across the board, and specifically on the rules/decency issue.
But to those few offenders who have been misusing this board, and are banned: Don't come back.
