How can I protect my ebook from illegal distribution?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to protect my ebook from being leaked to the public. I thought about making a password for the ebook, but that could also easily get leaked. What I thought about is making an individual password for each customer and if that password is used on more then 1 IP I could ban it. But I have no idea how to execute something like this. Thanks

eBook protection can be as simple as restricting access to the complete eBook until it is purchased, and only providing a sample or excerpt until then. That way their eBook is protected from the public, however it is not protected from sharing with others who have not paid for it.
