I often hear article submission and writing articles as a way to promote your ebooks, but once the article is written where do these people submit the article?

I use a couple of sites but the best one I use is called Ezine articles.
i use article post robot. you can control spamming with this software, i have seen an increase already. you can find it on my article directory aboveallcontent by clicking below

You can post at one of the ezine directories. I highly recommend this one:
I use Article Marketer. It sends your article out to a large number of directories with one click. It is free to join, but if you decide to upgrade they send your articles out to even more directories
