Basic PDF eBook Protection -- Is It Out There?

mknithpn I have been searching for an answer to this question for over a year now.

Is there a simple PDF protection program or system out there that will

1) generate a unique password for each person who purchases the book automatically
2) allow you to manage these unique passwords and disable if the customer requests refund
3) do all of this without requiring the customer to download and execute an .exe file?
4) reasonably priced, preferably no expensive monthly fees, etc

I have looked at HyprLock, Virtual Vault and and a few other options but none of them meet all of my requirements.

I just can't believe that with all of the technology available on the market that no one would have created a simple solution to meet these ebook needs. I don't even care about a customer sharing his ebook and password with family/friends anymore--just want a list of passwords I can manage that the customer is assigned automatically.

I appreciate any guidance or suggestions, thanks

RiffRaff Not being funny, but are you certain that HyprLock doesn't satisfy your needs?

mknithpn doesn't hyprlock require the customer to click and open an exe file?

rlemire And what exactly is wrong with "exe" files? Every program on a PC is an "exe" file. Even Adobe Reader is an "exe" file. When you "click" to open a (*.pdf) file -- it automatically opens AcroRd32.exe

Online security systems, with perpetual monthly fees, have proven incapable of protecting PDF content. With HYPrLock, authors can choose a PDF security system that locks a PDF/eBook to one computer and prevents PDF pirates from stealing his/her PDF content.

The end user only enters his unique, automatically generated, password one time -- and thereafter only clicks a desktop icon to open the PDF file in Adobe Reader.

End users appreciate that they are not being constantly monitored and that they do not need to log-in or log-on to open and read a PDF file. No other PDF security system is as secure or cost effective as HYPrLock -- or offers such a wide range of advanced features.
