Hi all, Here are a couple newbie questions for you.
I did a dummy test using Word 2000 just to get the feel of things. (yes, I followed the instructions in Chapter 2) When viewing the compiled book, my images did not show up. I received an error about not having some VML thing (sorry, didn't write down exact error). Anyway, I had to download it. After that the images showed up. I am just wondering. Was this unique error my computer only or will all viewers have to do this?
And second, I have Front Page 2000, Power Point 2000 and Word 2000 on my computer. In your opinions, which program should I be using. ie: Best for quality output (format), fastest downloading, etc. I will be composing a rather large ebook. Most pages will have a single clip art image.
Thank you all very much for your time. This looks like a great board. Very helpful. :-}

I think the VML problem is because you missed one of the settings when you did save as html/web-page in word. There are rather a lot of settings there... I am not certain, so it could also be an oddity on your PC
For creating the ebook? I would guess it's going to be a close run thing between FrontPage and Word (assuming you overcome the struggles in PowerPoint about making the images appear in the right folder - there are various threads scattered around about this - it can be done - I'm not a frontpage expert, but it can also be an issue...read the threads)
