I have been having problems with active ebook after formatting my hard drive. I have a large ebook that compiled to 20 megs. I used ebook 5.1 before, and then installed 5.05. That created blocked links to executables, and so I switched to version 4.22. 4.22 works fine, but the ebooks are now three times larger. Did I mess up the compression when I went back to version 4.22? If so, what can I do about it?

EBookCompiler
The compression in the 5.x is better than in 4.x
Check the files tab in the compiler.
I think that you will find that if you look there you are including some unnecessary files in the ebook - perhaps the previously compiled version of the ebook EXE itself... double click, and set the option to exclude it
