I am creating an E-book from a small web site. When adding HTML docs to the project, I notice the content of the TITLE tag is displayed in the Files window. However, content of META tags for Description and Keywords are not displayed. Is this correct? As output file size will be important, should I delete META tags from source files or does the Activ E-book Compiler just disregard these tags.

EBookCompiler
It just ignores them
You can even delete the title tags, after the files are listed in the Files tab if you want to
The Title/Description/Keywords for the ebook are entered in the files tab, and independent of what is in these tags. Scanning the Title tag is just a time saver for you.
The reason we do it like this is many people compile the same content as they use on the web sites, and what's optimized for an ebook search, is primarily not optimal for an Internet search engine and vice-versa - there's a bit about how the search works in the Help

Is there any way of Activ E-book picking up in the meta tags for description and keywords as I have 245 pages and don't won't to spend hours re-typing them in the ebook software when they are already on the HTM pages. Many thanks Simon
