I just downloaded IE 6, and it does not support Java or QuickTime. If Java is already installed from a previous version of IE, then it will run. QT seems to be a different story. I went to a web site with QT, and it wouldn't work. The site owners will have to do some sort of urgrade.

I knew about the java thing - I think this probably stems from the whole Sun vs. MS dispute. I dunno if it's good for either or both of the companies concerned - but it's certainly bad news for both webmasters and web surfers.
QT issue is new to me. It is possible that this might be a bug rather than by design.
Personally, I still think IE4 is the best version :-) Although I've tried em all out since v2
