Hello I’m a new kid on the block, and was wondering why after following all the instructions with regard to putting all the html files in one folder, and naming one of them index.html etc, and selecting "scan folder" and seeing all the files come up in the files window of ebook compiler and then building my book.... why it is that I have no pictures in the book? I am using ebook compiler at the moment to organise various pages that I have saved from the web for research purposes so that I can browse these pages offline at home, the individual pages save as an html file and a folder containing the various images of the page concerned, I can see no way of manually adding these images files, and thought that they would be selected and added automatically when you select "scan folder"
Can anyone shed some light on this problem please?
I am using ebook 4.22 and operating Win2000
Happy New Year everyone.

You need to have links in your pages to the pictures, and make sure the paths are correct. So if you put all your images in a sub-folder called "images", make sure thats where your page is looking.
If you've simply moved your saved pages to the folder to scan, the pages may not be pointing at the picture folder. You may have to edit the HTML in the pages to do this - with a text editor, or an HTML editor if you use one.

I don't believe Activ can handle subdirectories, can it? I dunno...
Sunil usually suggests 'flattening out' the structure, bringing all the files together, and eliminating the pathnames from the image references.
He also has a freeware utility to do just that, automagically, for large projects. You'll want to contact him for that...

I'd forgotten that, Roger - thanks!
edennorman - make sure that your HTML files don't have any errors on the image tags, especially the filename. Double-check that your tag is looking for exactly the same filename that you've given your picture file.
