I have a question. One of my readers downloaded my eBook and when the Alert box appeared asking if he wants to create a shortcut to his desktop, he clicked OK but the Shortcut never appeared. It happened to me once too while I was testing the eBook. That was why I gave instructions on my web page telling them how to manually put the shortcut on the desktop. Has anyone experience this problem before? Any reply is appreciated. Thanks.
Regards, LShen

I am not certain, but I think it's because there is a limitation in the current version that these icons get added to all users rather than the current user's profile. It may also be that the current logged on user doesn't have permission to edit the desktop

Does this happen in all versions of Windows? I'm just wondering if I should include instructions on adding a shortcut in my ebooks or on my web page, as LShen has done.
